We adhere to National Occupational Standards in providing Psychotherapy, Counselling, Hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Herbalism, Nutritional Therapy, Kinesiology, Anger management, Stress management, Bi polar & depression management, Reiki, Life coaching, meditation, crystal healing, colour therapy, spiritual counselling.
We have bases in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland (UK). We are a partnership of Stuart and Denise. Stuart has been a therapist since 1993.
We hold qualifications from SQA (Scottish Qualification Authority) approved awarding bodies and we adhere to NOS. We are fully registered and insured with a number of professional bodies. All details correct at the time of upload (2008).
Specialities (Denise) include diet and nutrition, weight loss, holistic energy healing, female issue counselling and coaching support and gemstone therapy.
Specialities (Stuart) include anger management training, stress management coaching, cognitive behavioural therapy, NLP, performance coaching, Bi polar and mood disorder management and coping better with depression or anxiety.
We are a complementary health service for adults and we require clients to maintain support through their medical doctor for any medical or clinical condition / illness / injury. We are not a substitute for medical attention. We offer diet and exercise programmes for weight loss. Weight loss can only be achieved with suitable diet and exercise programmes in place.
Stuart also writes externally accredited practitioner training courses available through Stonebridge Associated Colleges in NLP, CBT, Life coaching, Japanese holistic healing, Holistic healing, mood disorder management, anger management and stress management, These are available direct from Stonebridge.
Stuart also provides practical training workshops to complement the above distance learning courses in order to provide a complete practitioner training package leading to registration with the SHTC and insured practice in the UK.
Both Stuart and Denise use the titles of Holistic Therapist and Life Coach and although they support the concept of regulation of psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors, reserve the right to "wait and see" whether the regulation process is successful or whether it stifles therapist creativity as many in the UK fear. In either case they will continue to adhere to recognised standards of practice, registration and insurance.
